Not because I said so...

Kaelsy has started her "Why?" phase and the other day this is what we got...
Kaelsy: "Where's Mom (grandma)?"
Kim: "Outside watering the lawn."
Kaelsy: "Why?"
Kim: "Because the lawn is dry."
Kaelsy: "Why?"
Kim: "Because it is hot."
Kaelsy: "Why?"
Kim: "Because of the sun."
Kaelsy: "Why?"
Kim: "Because it is made of hot gasses."
Kaelsy: "Why?"
Kim (almost totally resigned at this point): "Because Heavenly Father made it that way!"
Kaelsy: "Oh."
Next time maybe I will just start with that.

Kaelsy being Kaelsy

So, I was changing Kyre's diaper this morning. And like a "good" mother, my full attention was on my youngest child and not on my other two. As I was finishing up, I heard my mother say, "What has she done?" I looked up to see my middle child, Kaelsy, waddling around like Charlie Chaplin due to her trying to wear her baby brother's pants! Now, mind you, if you know anything about Kaelsy, she can wear Teagan's size 4 clothes rather well, so imagine what she would do to 3-6 month clothes! As I was again capturing a "Kaelsy" moment on film, Teagan could not be left out either! :-)

Sunday Fun

Ready For Preschool

The other day all three kids had their well-check exams and yes all got shots! Ughhh! Teagan did get something for her pain, though. Since she will be starting preschool this year, she not only got to have shots, but she also got her very own backpack. Our doctor's office does that for kids starting school for the first time! That helped the pain a little bit. I was so proud of her she didn't even cry one bit, but then she did have a firm grip on my hair. I can't believe she has still not gotten over that fetish. Oh well... Inside the backpack she got some school supplies, too. Too cool for her.

Teagan's Flower

Teagan grew her own sunflower this summer and was so excited when it finally bloomed in full! She just had to get a picture (and so did I of course).

These boots were made for walking...

Working with Daddy

So, Brady was put to work today hauling dirt into an area that needs to be planted to grass. The girls wanted to help when they found out they could help daddy drive the tractor. I do not think there was much help really going on, but they did enjoy it a lot.
